Hey there! My name is Michaela, and I’m the author of this little blog. I’m honestly not sure what this blog is going to be about yet- I just wanted a little space where I can share my thoughts. I like being outside, reading, and spending time with people. I like to think about life and what it means. I like to travel, but more so in the way of getting to know specific places deeper, rather than flying through countries and cities at a speed close to light’s. I have an affinity for maps, and if I could go back in time and do university over, I probably would find a way to major in geography, or at least take more geography courses. I believe in God, and I believe that Jesus is the Way to heaven; and that following Him results in a more peaceful (though not necessarily easier!) and fulfilling life.

One thing I’m trying to do is be more adventurous and open to possibilities that aren’t part of “the plan”.  I tend to be a little passive and hesitant, and I’m starting to see that life is just too short for that. Part one of this change is happening in September- I’m moving to a small town in Northern Quebec for a year to be an English language assistant. A little (a lot!) out of my comfort zone, but I’m determined to make it work!

If you have any thoughts, questions, or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment. I’m always happy to hear from others!

  1. Fun to find your blog Michaela– wishing you the best on your big move and all that comes along ahead… and colluding agree more that life is short. I”m at the other end of life from you (65), and am still asking God for his best use of my days— and am thankful for doors he opens. Blessings.
